Why books on disk?

They are cheaper than hard-copy books; Art Galore diskette books are priced lower than most magazines.
They are much smaller than regular books. A large library will take up just a little shelf space.
Perfect traveling companions for a laptop computer.
Children like the "high tech" aspect of using a computer rather than a plain old book.
They are read using a browser, where text size can be adjusted to suit the reader, even to print large enough for those having difficulty with the average sized print.

Do you have an unpublished manuscript?

If you have an unpublished manuscript, here is your chance to become a published author.

If you can supply your manuscript to us on standard PC-formatted 3.5 inch diskettes, we will publish it at no cost to you except a one-time conversion fee of $10 to make it compatible with popular Internet browsers. Your manuscript must be in, or readily convertible to, Word Perfect, Microsoft WORD, or plain text (ASCII) format.

The first chapter will be displayed as a promotional sample, or you can supply us with a descriptive sales pitch. If the first chapter is unusually long, it will be abbreviated. If the first chapter is unusually short, we may use more text.

We will pay you a royalty of $1 per sale, payable quarterly. We will not promote your book other than to advertise it on our own Web site. You will retain the copyright, and you will be free to continue to find a paper publisher. We will remove your work whenever you request it. We may discontinue showing it after one year at our discretion.

Do you own the copyright of an out-of-print work?

Your out-of-print book can be back on sale as a Book on Disk. Your first step is to prepare the manuscript as described above.

Let us help you sell your stock.

The cost to you for advertising your printed book on our Web site for at least one year is one book. We will scan the first chapter and use it as a promotional sample, or you can supply us with a descriptive sales pitch instead. You set the retail price, which we will advertise. When we receive an order, we will ship the copy we have and order another from you at one-half your stated retail price. You ship the replacement to us at your expense. After one year, we may drop your book at our discretion from our Web site, but will not return the last copy you have sent us.
