This was an attempt to come to grips with the dynamics of getting a badly beaten and tortured corpse down from an awkward scaffold structure, by two men who were highly solicitous of the dead person. How would they go about it? What physical attributes are brought into play? Would they be tentative and too careful? What would be their likely mental attitude? It was also a good vehicle for coming to grips with human anatomy, something I have struggled with often, sometimes successfully, sometimes not.
