All of my life I have been fascinated by nature, its diversity, uniqueness, emotions, color, and composition. This fascination is expressed in my art work as an appreciation of all of the God given beauty that surrounds us in whatever form it takes. For this reason the term "Nature Artist" describes me better than does "Wildlife Artist."
In my artwork, I attempt to express this fascination by uniquely preserving the beauty of nature as I see it. My vision of nature as it should be depicted is not overly realistic or photographic. The human feelings or emotions that nature imparts in all of us must also be shown. Therefore, in terms of style, my work must contain elements of Impressionism as well as Realism.
Finally, the "proof of the pudding" for me is when my work brings pleasure to others. It all becomes worthwhile when I see another person's face brighten with pleasure .
