ARTIST'S STATEMENT:
I am often asked to explain what a painting of mine means. Rather than give them my idea what I do is to lead
the inquirer through a question and answer session that ends up with them having built their own meaning. A
few simple guides will help.
Relax, face the work, look it and observe your emotions and thoughts. Ask yourself questions based on your
feelings and thoughts. It is rather like getting to know a person who speaks a language which you do not
understand. If one of my paintings does or can mean sonething it will be different for every one: "meaning
is in the eye of the beholder."
If you still wish to know what I had in mind, contact me and we will explore it together. Don't be too shocked
if my concept is the opposite of what you develop; after all, Newtonian and Quantium physics are contrary
descriptions of "reality", and yet they are both valid.
OUR GICLEE' REPRODUCTIONS:
Our Giclee' reproductions are frequently mistaken for the original oil painting. Yes! they are that good.
(If ink had thick texture there could be no difference.) We use the HP 5500 with UV ink on canvas substrate.
(Dye ink or dye pigment mixtures fade and vanish in several years.) But life expectancy of HP pure pigment ink
has shown in labortroy tests no fade in 200 years. From image capture, color correction, creation and final
protective coating, these Giclee's are all in house productions. You may receive your reproduction either ready
to stretch and frame or stretched and ready to frame; the first is shipped lightly rolled in a tube the other
is shipped in a box. Shipping and handling are seperate from the item price.
